Mumbai Metro One Pvt. Ltd. (MMOPL), which is executing the Phase 1 of the VAG Corridor of the first ever Metro Line of the city, is facing a few problems with deeply laid down and ageing underground utility networks. The utility networks at certain points along the J P Road, between Versova and Andheri have been affected causing some inconvenience to the local residents.
These deep and ageing utility networks which were lying at 30 feet below the ground have been affected despite the rigorous utility mapping exercises during planning and due precautions being taken during the execution stage.
MMOPL has engaged field experts, with proven track record of undertaking these kinds of repair works even at such a deep underground level, who are working alongside MCGM officials, to complete the restoration of the networks within the shortest possible time of 4 to 5 days.
MMOPL, while regretting the inconvenience caused, wishes to inform that all the necessary alternative arrangements to minimize inconvenience to the traffic and local residents have been made and further seeks valuable cooperation and support from the local residents.
